'Wollaton Park in Nottingham once again played host to UK Inter Counties
Cross Country Championships and World Cross Trials. Yours truly was in
Nottingham to capture the action and to see three Harrier ladies in action in
the Senior Women event over 8k. Donna McEwen, Carla Fisher and Anna Litchfield
were chosen to represent Bedfordshire in this event and they did not let the
county down. Donna returned a respectable 34.03, with Anna and Carla not too
far behind in a class field. Ideal conditions as this race concluded and more
to follow in an eventful day at Wollaton Park. It was incredible to capture
the action in a number of races and as the day drew to a close. Our coach took
me and a few tired individuals back to Bedford and beyond a little after 4..
Thanks to the ladies for doing their bit for the club and to Richard Inchley
for making the whole thing possible. Phew.'
