'Another away trip for yours truly in the heart of Lincolnshire.
Stamford to be exact. Why? Why: a question that has no answer or do you know
different. A little matter of the Stamford 30k over an undulating course in
less than ideal conditions for all those participating. Rain did little to aid
them as 11 a.m. signalled the start of the race. Yours truly located near the
start and again near the finish to capture the action. Tony Dadd in a virtual
repeat of his exceptional 30k performance in 2005 in about 2 hours as first
Harrier on the day, with Stuart Trevallion a close second Harrier. Veronica
was the first and only lady Harrier on the day in a respectable 2:15 ish.
Official times not to hand but will be available shortly. Mike Barnard and I
enjoyed a hot drink before we made our way back to a welcome hot shower and
refreshments in Bedford. Well done to all Harriers who the the distance in
Stamford.'
