Bedford Harriers A.C.

Richard reports that it was a very enjoyable race with approximately 400 runners on virtually traffic free roads. It was a fairly flat course running out for 2 ½ miles before a loop and then back over the first section for the final 3 miles (which included a steady incline from 7 ½ to 9 miles, and very well marshalled especially at the finish where a main road had to be crossed and the marshals stopped the cars in favour of the runners. The goodie bags at the finish included a long sleeved T-Shirt, and a small runners wallet type thing and being sponsored by the local supermarket there were plenty of bananas at the finish. |
